Gentoo Foundation, Inc. and Gentoo Technologies, Inc. have released a Gentoo Name and Logo Usage Guidelines. It contains the terms and conditions regarding the use of the Gentoo trademark, logo and artwork.

These guidelines protect the Gentoo trademark and assure us that no abuse of our name and logo can take place. However, since Gentoo reflects a community as well, special care has been taken to guarantee that community sites can continue their wonderful work of extending the Gentoo experience.
