1.  Project Description

The Gentoo Gnome Project aims to bring the current and complete GNOME Desktop Environment to Gentoo. We maintain the GNOME core libraries, GNOME Office Applications (gnumeric, abiword, dia, planner) and various applications that are part of the GNOME Desktop.

3.  Project tasks

The tasks of the gnome project are:

Codeina support - Implement Codeina support in Gentoo

People at Fluendo have written a nice little python application that installs missing packages required by applications using gstreamer. This project, in collaboration with gstreamer herd, aims at making it possible to use it on Gentoo.

5.  Meetings

The GNOME herd holds meetings at #gentoo-meetings. Meetings are announced in the topic of #gentoo-desktop. Schedule for meetings is mostly irregular.
