Rox Desktop for Gentoo

1. Project Description

The Rox Desktop Project handles all rox-desktop related issues of the Gentoo distribution. This largely involves keeping up-to-date with the rox development community and adding new packages and versions as they occur.

2. Project Goals

The eventual goal is to include all rox-desktop packages as listed on http://rox.sourceforge.net/desktop/software with a meta-ebuild called 'rox-all' which mimics the "official" rox 0install ROX-All meta-package.

3. The Overlay

There is a new way to test the latest and greatest (and unstable-est) upcoming features that will someday be integrated into the rox packages in the Gentoo tree: the ROX overlay.

Zeroinstall Injector	rox-base/zeroinstall-injector	Okay, so I lied about it being the enemy. Version 0.27 and later works quite well with distro-packaged applications, so it is here. By default, it will only work with portage-install applications, since the global Network setting is set to "off-line". This can be changed per-user by running '0launch --gui' and editing the preferences there.
