Status Reports
Preliminaries
This is the status of the Gentoo Documentation Project. It will be posted
regularly, but not with a static frequency. All questions can be posted to
gentoo-doc@gentoo.org or to
me personally.
The Gentoo Documentation Project, from now on abbreviated to GDP, has its own
project page (just like almost all other Gentoo projects). You can find it at
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/gdp.
Content
This status mail will briefly discuss the following tasks, objectives and/or

Gentoo Handbook part III
The third part of the Gentoo Handbook is progressing slowly. Currently, we have
the following chapters ready:
The only chapter remaining is called Integrating in a
Network and should focus on how users can integrate their Gentoo system in
a Windows environment, providing interoptability using SAMBA.
The main idea is to release this third part as "official" (after a few QA
measures) and add additional chapters when deemed appropriate. This because we
don't want to keep the documentation hidden from the users, while we know that
there are still many subjects regarding desktop configuration that aren't
covered yet.
