Judges For The 2010 Screenshot Contest

There will be five judges that will decide the three winning screenshots for this years contest. Winners will recieve bragging rights on irc and the forums.

Introducing The Judges

Markos Chandras (hwoarang) Gentoo Developer

Markos is a busy man, he helps out with Qt, treecleaners, sunrise, amd64, QA, and the kernel.


Running openbox-git (3.5.0-rc1), pcmanfm-git, quassel, networkled, urxvt, minitube, fbpanel, conky. The decoration is native on openbox, and the window styling is qtcurve-qt4.

Noel is a longtime Gentoo user and he gets to take care of Gentoo Servers as a System Administrator all over the world.

Michael Weber (xmw)

Michael is currently being recruited to be a full Gentoo developer and in his spare time he has been busy on the Sunrise and Gnome overlays. He also has been known to help out wrangling some bugs.

Software is Gentoo/Linux amd64 (just switched to) gnome profile. Essential parts like gentoo-sources, glibc, gcc, and end user apps like firefox, thunderbird, gnome is bleeding edge (gnome overlay and beyond), like gnome-shell-2.31.2, x11-wm/metacity 2.30.1, the rest is stable.

The backgrounds get switched on a regular basis, mostly own pictures taken with a Sony DSLR, like this cat called Luzi over here.

Fernando V. Orocu (likewhoa)

Fernando A.K.A likewhoa has been using Gentoo Linux since 2004 and has been deploying Gentoo servers ever since with a passion for OSS and User collaboration. He is currently being recruited to become a full Gentoo developer and he was the builder for the Gentoo 10.1 LiveDVD. He is currently working on the latest version codenamed "solarpowered" or commonly refered to as 10.2.
