1.  Project Description

The Gentoo Gnome Project aims to bring the current and complete GNOME Desktop Environment to Gentoo. We maintain the GNOME core libraries, media framework (gstreamer), GNOME Office Applications (gnumeric, abiword, evolution) and various applications that are part of the GNOME Desktop.

3.  Project tasks

The tasks of the gnome project are:

gtk useflags - Fix the GTK useflag situation

The useflags gtk and gtk2 have a similar and confusing meaning. The herd has decided to have only ONE use flag, gtk, and its progress is being monitored: http://bugs.gentoo.org/106560.

5.  ChangeLog

Date Description
08 Oct 2005 Start to fix up the project page. Fixed top half of page's GuideXML, added members, took off old stuff that doesn't mean anything anymore, or is incorrect.
03 Aug 2006 Move FAQ to separate page. Link Policy page. Change lead.
